* Free pattern * Halloween Pumpkin Orange Cable Scarf
I am making this scarf as a birthday present for a friend who loves orange.
It is a chunky eight-stitch cable pattern, repeated three times and divided by a simple rib. You can decide to repeat it more times: the pattern works on any multiple of 15+3 stitches.
PATTERN

Needles: 10 mm needles + 1 10 mm cable needle
Abbreviations
k: knit
p: purl
C8B: slip 4 stitches to cable needle, hold at the back of the work, k4, then k4 from cable needle
C8F: slip 4 stitches to cable needle, hold in front of work, k4, then k4 from cable needle
How to
Cast over 48 stitches.
[1] (p1, k1, p1, k12) three times, p1, k1, p1.
[2] (k1, p1, k1, p12) three times, k1, p1, k1.

[5] (p1, k1, p1, k12) three times, p1, k1, p1.
[6] (k1, p1, k1, p12) three times, k1, p1, k1.

Repeat rows 1 through 8 until your scarf is as long as you like it!

This is such a beautiful cable pattern for a scarf that I just had to share it here.
Beautiful.
very nice, great photo too!
Love the chunky orange you’ve chosen
Pretty!
I have an orange sweater I got from Goodwill to ravel and reuse the yarn. Its a bulky yarn so it will be perfect for this. This would make a great cowl as well.
Love the colour 🙂
Fabulous!
How much yarn?
Hello! The yardage of course would depend on how long you want the scarf to be – that’s the beauty with scarves 😉 320 – 480 yards (293 – 439 m) should be more than enough. Good knitting!
Great! Thank you so much!
I absolutely love this! Thank you

Looking forward to making this this fall! Orange is my favorite color!
